What our guests say
We’ve just returned from a 3 night stay at South Berrington Shepherd Huts in the ‘Foxglove’ and we were very impressed with the beautiful decor and layout. It was more spacious than we imagined it would be too. We had our own wet room inside, and the queen sized bed and Goose feather duvet was so comfortable we were reluctant to get up each morning! The hut was so well kitted out; Rachel, the owner, had thought of everything even down to a windup torch. On arrival we received a warm friendly welcome from Rachel, and a daily visit from her cute little Border Terrier! We found the location perfect for visiting Berwick, Bamburgh and Holy Island and would highly recommend a stay.
We hope to visit again for longer next year.
Thank you from Rich and Jill
Just wanted to drop you a note to say thanks for a brilliant stay in Teasel last week – we really didn’t want to come home. It was perfect for a post-lockdown venture back into the ‘new’ world and had everything we needed (including Scruffy who we’re missing!).
Being away from everything in a quiet and beautiful location allowed us to have a proper break from working from home and totally switch off. It ticked every box. From location and facilities to ease of booking and communication, it’s five stars from us. Hopefully we’ll get up again – sooner rather than later.

What a super stay we had at Teasel. The hut is so well and considerately planned for maximum space and comfort. The crockery, bed linen all fixtures and fittings are top quality. We loved the quirky touches like the ‘colanders’ as light shades in the kitchen. Rachel and Rupert are top hosts who clearly have put considerable time, thought and expense and planning into delivering exceptional huts. The surrounding area is superb – beautiful coastline with unspoilt beaches with seals and dolphins as visitors. So much to do. A wonderful stay in a beautiful Shepherds’ Hut in a beautiful setting. 10/10. Going back for the next half term break.

Hi had a great holiday in Foxglove. Shepherd’s hut was lovely. Well equipped and owner was very helpful and friendly. No T. V. But that was absolutely fine. Very relaxing holiday and would definitely go back.

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at Teasel Shepherds hut & have made many special memories being there. Our children didn’t want to come home & have already asked if we can return next year & bring their Auntie & cousins. Rachel was the perfect host making us most welcome. Her Shepherds huts are stunning. My husband & I have stayed in a Shepherd’s hut before but it doesn’t have a patch on Rachel’s huts. We will be back & will be recommending them to our family and friends.

Absolutely fantastic! We could not have asked for such a friendly place to be. The place itself was fantastic – very clean, very quirky and brilliant in every way. We will definitely be going back there again – a big thanks to Rachel for looking after us.

Completely delightful, from start to finish. It’s more a luxury tiny house than a hut and felt like a very indulgent finale to St. Cuthbert’s Way. And Rachel couldn’t have been more accommodating.
