Teasel is the perfect base for a glamping break or weekend getaway in picturesque Northumberland.
Teasel has one king-size bed (5’ x 6’ 3”) as well as full-size single bunk beds (3’ x 6’ 3”). We’ve designed Teasel to make the absolute most of the available space during the daytime, with the top bunk folding away to create a comfortableseating area.
There’s a galley kitchen with a small larder, a two ring electric hob, microwave combination oven, a fridge under the counter, toaster, kettle and even a DAB radio. We also have a dining table that extends to seat up to four guests. Beyond the kitchen is a small bathroom with an electric shower, washbasin and WC.
The hut is super-insulated with electric tubular heating and an electric stove with a ‘real flame’ effect to really warm you up in those colder times of the year!
For an extra special experience, you can hire Colin – our cutesy retro blue caravan – for just £20 per night (subject to availability). Colin gives the younger members of the family their own space to create their own holiday adventure, with sleeping capacity for night time too! If needed, Colin can also hold two full-size humans as well!
Up to two dogs are welcome at Cow Parsley and there are kennels on the farm if you need them. If you give us prior notice, your horses are also welcome to come along – we have grazing and stabling ready on-site for you at additional cost.

Exterior
Outside, there’s a wonderful little picnic table and comfy garden furniture to sit and enjoy views over the nearby countryside. A night time, our fire pit can be brought over on request to round off your day in style.
Parking
There’s no access for your vehicle anywhere inside the paddock where the huts are, but there is a car park just to the left-hand side when you first drive into the farm entrance.
Children & Babies
While the paddock where the Shepherds’ Huts are is completely enclosed, the field next to it has a pond – so younger children will need supervising near this area.

What guests say about Teasel
Just wanted to drop you a note to say thanks for a brilliant stay in Teasel last week – we really didn’t want to come home. It was perfect for a post-lockdown venture back into the ‘new’ world and had everything we needed (including Scruffy who we’re missing!).
Being away from everything in a quiet and beautiful location allowed us to have a proper break from working from home and totally switch off. It ticked every box. From location and facilities to ease of booking and communication, it’s five stars from us. Hopefully we’ll get up again – sooner rather than later.
A&M stayed in Teasel
My family and I had a wonderful time staying at Teasel Shepherds hut & have made many special memories being there. Our children didn’t want to come home & have already asked if we can return next year & bring their Auntie & cousins. Rachel was the perfect host making us most welcome. Her Shepherds huts are stunning. My husband & I have stayed in a Shepherd’s hut before but it doesn’t have a patch on Rachel’s huts. We will be back & will be recommending them to our family and friends.
Angela, Jeff, Harry & Ben Graham stayed in Teasel
Fabulous place to stay. The Shepherds’ Hut had a great layout and possibly the comfiest bed ever. A good base for exploring from. Very dog-friendly. All in all, a great start to our holiday!
These guests stayed in Teasel
What a super stay we had at Teasel. The hut is so well and considerately planned for maximum space and comfort. The crockery, bed linen all fixtures and fittings are top quality. We loved the quirky touches like the ‘colanders’ as light shades in the kitchen. Rachel and Rupert are top hosts who clearly have put considerable time, thought and expense and planning into delivering exceptional huts. The surrounding area is superb – beautiful coastline with unspoilt beaches with seals and dolphins as visitors. So much to do. A wonderful stay in a beautiful Shepherds’ Hut in a beautiful setting. 10/10. Going back for the next half term break.
